Our family, besides me, includes my father Gorazd, mother Jelka, sister Ditka and two bernese mountain dogs, Melly and Ruby.

We live in one of the most beautiful parts of Slovenia, between the mountains and forests, surrounded by a beautiful nature. We have a big house in quite area, which is very suitable for raising puppies. In 1999 we saw the bernese mountain dog for the first time and since then we have been in love with this breed.

In 2000 we got our first bernese Melly. She showed us all the good characteristics of bernese mountain dogs. In 2003 we had our first litter and the second in 2004. Through Melly's litters we've learn a lot about breeding and got a lot of experiences which will be useful in the future.

In 2008 we registrated our FCI kennel Carynthia's and in February 2009 we had our first litter under the name of kennel. Our kennel is small, at the moment we have two dogs, Melly and Ruby, who are our family members. We don’t have litters very often, but when we do, we put all our energy, love and time into their growth and do our best to raise them in nice and healthy dogs with good characters. Puppies are raised in the house with us, so they get used to some ordinary house voices, but they also spend days outside on the lawn, where they can run and play. We make sure they meet new people, strangers, children and some other dogs, so they are used to them when they go in new homes.

With our kennel we want to bring some fresh blood in the breeding of bernese mountain dogs and help to preserve this breed. Our goal is to raise healthy puppies with typical appearance and with good character, which will be a great life time companions to their new owners.

ABOUT ME

My name is Eva Čepin. I was born in 1990. I've been an animal lover since my childhood and animals have always been a part of my life. While we were still living in the apartment I had some small animals like gold fish, turtle, rabbit and parrot. But there was still the big wish-to have a dog.

In 1998 we moved to a house and two years later my wish came true: I got my first dog Melly. Melly and I practically grew up together. She became my best friend and the moment I saw her bernese mountain dog became the dog of my life.

Being included in Melly's litters, watching the puppies grow and taking care of them, brought me a lot of experience and knowledge about breeding. In 2008 one of my biggest wishes came true, I registrated my own kennel Carynthia’s. In the future I want to create a great line of bernese mountain dogs, based on healthy dogs with typical appearance and character. I also want to take part in dog shows and improved my knowledge of bernese mountain dogs and their breeding.

Since 2009 I am a student of veterinary medicine at Veterinary Faculty of University in Ljubljana. Becoming a vet is my greatest wish since my childhood. All the knowledge that I achieve, I will use in my breeding program to create a good breeding line.
